La Sala held its first Charity Golf Tournament this Monday, 11th May, in one of the best clubs in Essex – Woolston Manor Golf & Country Club in Chigwell.
In conjunction with the National Children’s Hospice Week, the aim of the event was to raise money for Haven House Children’s Hospice.
Among the golfers were also famous former and current football players such as Harry Kane (Tottenham Hotspur), David Bentley (Ex Tottenham Hotspur), Ossy Ardiles (Ex Tottenham Hotspur), Paul Miller (Ex Tottenham Hotspur), Mixu Paatlelainen (Finland National Manager), Gary Rowett (Birmingham Manager), Shaun Derry (Manager) and Wayne Henderson (Ex Aston Villa). The teams enjoyed amazing playing conditions, plenty of sun with low wind and breathtaking scenery.
After the long day on the course the golfers and their guests were greeted at La Sala Chigwell restaurant with well deserved aprés golf drinks and canapés, followed by prize giving. La Sala would like to thank all the suppliers for donating amazing gifts for the raffle. A special thank you goes out to the boxing promoter Eddie Hearn for donating 2 x VIP ringside tickets inc Hospitality at the O2 Arena on May 30th. We would also like to thank John Gallagher, the owner of Jonathan Geeves Jewellers in the City of London, for donating and engraving the beautiful golf trophies. We appreciate all the help and gifts from all the other suppliers for the event.. Last, but not least, La Sala would like to thank also our golf pros, Joe and Brad and Hayley Smith from Haven House for hosting the event.
The total amount raised for Haven House Children’s Hospice was £3,914. Haven House Children’s Hospice supports families and cares for children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions across North and East London, West Essex and East Hertfordshire.
